H.Ibrahim, Project Architect with N. Ghali Architects
Opened in 1994, the 300 rooms five star hotel is located on the border of the Red Sea in the city of Sharm-El-Sheikh in South Sinai, Egypt. The resort rooms were modeled following the existing mountain topography.
The project site included 16 buildings featuring guest activities facilities, staff accommodation and service buildings.
Self sustainable in the middle of the desert, the hotel services included a sea water desalination plant and a sewage water treatment plant for recycled water use in landscaping irrigation.
